Facts of Breast Cancer

 

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the world among women. It is worthwhile to mention here that not only women are suffered from this evil disease across the globe but men also are diagnosed with it. In UK annually out of 55,000 patients of breast cancer 400 are men. It is spreading day by day on alarming pace. Regardless of race, country and religion it is the most common type of cancer. According to the recent statistics 211,731 women belonging to Asian and North American countries were diagnosed with very cancer.

Cancer

Cell reproduction is the natural phenomenon. The cells of a body divide in order to produce new cells when required. But sometimes, cells unlimitedly or abnormally grow and divide and as a consequence they produce a cluster of tissue. This cluster of tissue is known as tumor in biological terms. The tumors are benign as well as malignant. The benign tumors are harmless whereas malignant tumors cause cancer in body.

Breast Cancer

The cancers are given their names according to the part of the body in which they grow. Breast cancer is obviously the cancer which originates in breasts. The cancer can get entry into the tissues around the breast or it may invade into other tissues of the body if remained untreated.

The breast cancer begins with the unlimited growth and division of the cells in the breast area. The rate of breast cancer growth varies from type to type. The earlier diagnoses can save you from the long term pain and treatment and increases the chances of survival. The doctors suggest treatments according to the type of cancer.

Male Breast Cancer
It is usually thought that breast cancer is only associated to women but actually men can also get breast cancer. But it is rare in men. The men between 65-70 years old can be suffered with this cancer. Statistics say that out of every 100 only 1 man can have breast cancer.

Risk Factor of Breast Cancer

Getting older is the main risk factor for breast cancer. 5-10% breast cancers are occurred genetically. The risks are common in women than in men. Almost 80% of breast cancers occur in women and 1% in men who are over the age of 50. Along with the age health, diet and family history are also significant risks factor for the development of breast cancer society. If there is no family history related to this disease then there are chances of development of sporadic breast cancer.

There are various types of breast cancer and they may be fatal. No doubt it is fast growing type of cancer among women or even in men but if it is diagnosed at earlier stages then the cure and treatment is possible. Prevention is better than cure.
